The Scoop on Suzanne

Born in Toronto a few decades ago, I was raised in the west end by hard-working Eastern European parents along with an astonishingly brilliant brother. In an effort to create a loving environment free of pressure to excel, my parents set pretty low expectations for me, as pretty much anyone would pale in comparison to my genius older brother. They unwittingly cultivated in me a strong drive, work ethic and relentless perseverance. After graduating from University, I went to law school and have been on journey to help others and find my true path ever since.

Soon after graduating from law school, I opened my own practice so I could be home more for my family. By the time I was called to the bar, I already had a 1 year old child, and within 5 years, I had two more. Married, with a supportive husband and 3 great kids I practiced as a sole practitioner for a couple of decades (and then some!) Little did I realize that having my own practice would mean exactly the opposite of being home more.

Working as a lawyer gave me a vehicle to help people with: their home purchases, estate planning, their businesses, when they lost loved ones, when they lost their jobs and even when going through a divorce. As much as I brought my education and expertise to each file, I also learned a lot over the years, about the law and about human nature. What I learned through my practice has been augmented by my own personal journey of self discovery. I realized that I was meant to help people, but the traditional law practice way was not the only solution.

Now I have been certified as a family mediator to offer people a more peaceful and economical alternative to the unpredictable, expensive court system. I consult and teach others, including other lawyers, on how to do better, achieve more and be more efficient. I am writing a book, starting a podcast and motivational speaking to whoever will listen To find out more about what I do, keep scrolling, and let's get to know each other.
